![]() Photo credit: The crew of ISS Expedition 7, NASA May 29, 2003: Jutting solar panels. Nuts. Bolts. Wires. Insulation. Who says technology isn't beautiful? This view of the Soyuz TMA-2 spacecraft, docked to the functional cargo block on the International Space Station, is undeniably lovely. The spacecraft itself is knobbly and curious-looking: technology. The picture, though, is art. The secret ingredients are the black canvas of space and the blue edge of Earth. With such a backdrop even nuts and bolts can take your breath away. |
