Gravitation

The strength of gravity is directly proportional to the masses of the objects, and inversely proportional to the square of their distance from one another. In other words, two massive objects (like the sun and the earth) attract one another more strongly than, say, two feathers. But the force also gets weaker the further away from one another they get.
