Amendment 26: New proposal opportunity entitled Atmospheric CO2 Observations from Space
Amendment 26 creates a new proposal opportunity in Appendix A.5 entitled Atmospheric CO2 Observations from Space which solicits proposals to improve our understanding of how global atmospheric observations of atmospheric CO2 can be used to quantify fluxes of CO2 between the atmosphere and biosphere.
Amendment 25: New proposal opportunity entitled Strategic Astrophysics Technology
Amendment 25 creates Appendix D.13: Strategic Astrophysics Technology which solicits investigations for the focused development of technologies that feed into and enable missions in the three science program areas of the Astrophysics Division: Exoplanet Exploration, Physics of the Cosmos, and Cosmic Origins.
Amendment 24 Appendix A.41: The Science of Terra and Aqua
This amendment establishes a new program element in Appendix A.41 entitled “The Science of Terra and Aqua."
Amendment 23 Appendix A.17 Atmospheric Composition: Tropical Photochemistry and Aerosol Airborne Campaign is being deferred to ROSES 2010.
Due to logistical and programmatic constraints and uncertainties, proposals for the Atmospheric Composition: Tropical Photochemistry and Aerosol Airborne Campaign will not be solicited in 2009. Proposals for this campaign will be solicited in ROSES 2010.
Amendment 22 delay of due date for Appendix C.8, LASER
This amendment delays the proposal due date for Appendix C.8, Lunar Advanced Science and Exploration Research (LASER) Program, and clarifies the requirements for the use of Mission data
Amendment 21 final text for Appendix D.8 Fermi Guest Investigator – Cycle 3
This amendment presents the final text for Appendix D.8 Fermi Guest Investigator – Cycle 3, which replaces the prior placeholder in its entirety. The major changes from last year’s call are the due dates, and that, for proposals from foreign institutions, funds are now available for Co-Investigators at U.S. institutions.
Amendment 20: Due Date delayed for ROSES Interdisciplinary Research in Earth Science Program (IDS)
This amendment delays the proposal due date for Appendix A.22, Interdisciplinary Research in Earth Science Program (IDS), because of the impact of wildfires in southern California.
A.36 Clarification
Appendix A.36, The Instrument Incubator Program, will not be solicited in ROSES 2009
Amendment 19: Regarding Recovery Act funds in Appendix A.39, EV-1
Amendment 19 announces that the requirement to address the use of American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) of 2009 funds has been removed from the text of A.39 of ROSES-2009, ESSP Venture-class Science Investigations: Earth Venture-1.
B.2 Correction
B.2 point of contact has changed from Therese Kucera to Jeffrey Newmark.
