Clarification to the ROSES 2010 Summary of solicitation because of the release of the new Science Plan.
The ROSES 2010 Summary of solicitation has been updated.
Amendment 13: Final Text for Appendix B.6, Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology and cancelation of B.7 Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology: Strategic Capability.
This amendment announces that Appendix B.7, Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology: Strategic Capability, will not be solicited in ROSES 2010. This amendment also presents the final text for Appendix B.6, Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology, which replaces the prior version in its entirety. For Appendix B.6 NOIs are due September 30, 2010, and proposals are due October 30, 2010.
Appendix C.15
The Mars Technology Project will not be solicited this year.
Appendix C.14
The Mars Instrument Development Project will not be solicited this year.
D.10 MOST Update
The due dates for Appendix D.10 MOST have been delayed. Notices of intent will be due no earlier than 9/17/2010 and proposals will be due no earlier than 12/17/2010. The current out of date text will be updated 90 days in advance of the proposal due date.
Amendment 12: Due Date delayed for Appendix C.16 the Planetary Instrument Definition and Development Program
Programmatic schedule conflicts at NASA Headquarters have postponed the PIDD peer review and hence the date when SMD must have proposals. The proposal due date for PIDD has been changed to Friday, September 17, 2010.
Amendment 11: New proposal opportunities using commercial reusable suborbital vehicles and the ISS
NASA has determined that there may be payload opportunities for small space and Earth science research investigations, including both science and technology development, that utilize the International Space Station (ISS). Available external attach points include both zenith and nadir pointing locations, and internal attach points include nadir pointing locations. NASA has available annual external launch opportunities after 2011 on the Japanese HTV launch vehicle and the SpaceX vehicle. NASA also has regular opportunities on a suite of vehicles to launch pressurized cargo for use in the Window Observational Research Facility (WORF).
Amendment 10: Due date change for Appendix D.9 Kepler Guest Observer Program
This amendment alters the due date for proposal submission to 11.59 pm EST Dec 17, 2010, specifies that the data proprietary periods will be 12 months for all quarters of cycle 3, and makes some other small changes to the text.
Amendment 9: Due Date delayed for Appendix A.24, Enhancing the Capability of Computational Earth System Models and NASA Data for Operation and Assessment.
The change in peer review contract and concomitant move of computer hardware means that the NSPIRES web interface through which proposals and NOIs are submitted will not be available from Thursday July 15 through Sunday July 18. Thus, the NOI due date for Appendix A.24 has been changed to Thursday, July 22, 2010. The proposal due date remains unchanged at September 17, 2010.
Amendment 8: Due Date delayed for Appendix B.8, the Heliophysics Data Environment Enhancements Program.
The change in peer review contract and concomitant move of computer hardware means that the NSPIRES web interface through which proposals and NOIs are submitted will not be available from Thursday July 15 through Sunday July 18. Thus, the proposal due date for HDEE has been changed to Friday, July 23, 2010.
