These are SARA's unofficial versions. The official version is always what appears in the text of the program element on the NSPIRES web page.
The text of Appendix D.3 APRA has been updated to remove mention of the International X-ray Observatory and the Laser Interferometer Space Antenna and some of the POCs have been updated. The due date for NOIs and proposals remain unchanged at January 27, 2012 and March 23, 2012, respectively.
Amendment 34: Final text for Appendix A.40, Computational Modeling Algorithms And Cyberinfrastructure.
On December 19th the final text of Appendix A.40, Computational Modeling Algorithms and Cyberinfrastructure will be released. Notices of Intent to propose are due February 3, 2012, and proposals are due no later than March 9, 2012.
Amendment 33: Change in scope, due dates and submission procedure for Appendix B.4: Heliophysics Research: Solar and Heliospheric Science.
This Amendment both expands the content of the program, shifts the due dates, moves the call to ROSES-12, and makes a change to the submission process. Please read the full amendment and text carefully. Step-1 proposals will be due March 16, 2012, and Step-2 proposals will be due May 18, 2012 in response to ROSES 2012.
Amendment 32: Final text for Appendix B.7 Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology NASA/NSF Partnership For Collaborative Space Weather Modeling.
This amendment presents final text for the Appendix B.7, which replaces the previous text in its entirety. For this year this program is named the Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology NASA/NSF Partnership For Collaborative Space Weather Modeling. The due dates have changed. Notices of Intent to propose are due December 15, 2011. Proposals are due March 15, 2012.
Amendment 31: Final text for Appendix B.6 Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology Program
This amendment presents final text for the LWS TR&T program, which replaces the previous text in its entirety. The due dates have changed. Notices of Intent to propose are due December 15, 2011. Proposals are due February 24, 2012. Award start dates are required to be October 1, 2012.
This amendment changes the text and the name of Appendix D.3. It has returned to its traditional name, The Astrophysics Research and Analysis Program. The major change to the text the deletion of the grand challenge from the Laboratory Astrophysics section. Please see the text of the call for further information.
This amendment presents revised text for the Fermi GI program, which replaces the previous text in its entirety. New to this cycle is that additional LAT data products, which provide significant new analysis capabilities for short duration transients. The due date for Proposals remains unchanged at January 20, 2012.
The original text of Appendixes A.33 Disasters and A.35 Wildland Fires indicated that copies of the statements of commitment from Co-Is should be included in the body of the proposal. That was an error and has been corrected. Instead, team members should indicate their participation online via NSPIRES. Letters of Support from End-User Organizations, if appropriate, should still included in the body of proposal. The due dates remain unchanged.
The exclusive use period associated with Cycle 4 GO data has been eliminated. The new due date for notices of intent to propose is December 5, 2011, and the new due date for proposals is January 20, 2012.
Deferment of Appendix C.25, Mission Concept Development for Astro- biology Small Payloads, to ROSES-12
Appendix C.25, Mission Concept Development for Astro- biology Small Payloads, will not be solicited in ROSES 2011. SMD anticipates including it in ROSES 2012. This call for proposals has been deferred because the required program resources are currently not available.
Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES)-2011 a.k.a. NNH11ZDA001N, was posted on February 18, 2011. Thereafter any amendments, corrections, or clarifications will be posted here.
