Appendix A.27, The PACE Science Team will not be solicited in ROSES 2012.
On release of the ROSES 2012 Solicitation in mid February, the placeholder for Appendix A.27 PACE Science Team program element included a notice that it might be solicited in ROSES 2012. We regret to inform potential proposers that Appendix A.27 will not be solicited this year.
Clarification of which missions are appropriate for A.30 Earth Science U.S.P.I.
Sections 1.2 and 2.2.1 of Appendix A.30, the Earth Science U.S. Participating Investigator Program have been changed to clarify that proposals for missions development are preferred and those that have recently launched (i.e., 2011 or beyond) are also appropriate for consideration. Alternative opportunities are presented for investigations that don’t fit the constraints of Appendix A.30.
Amendment 3: Due Dates Changed for ROSES-12 Appendix A.20, PMM science team
The due dates have changed for ROSES-12 Appendix A.20, the Precipitation Measurement Missions (PMM) science team. Notices of Intent are due April 30, 2012, and proposals are due June 29, 2012.
Amendment 2: Proposal Due Date Delayed for Appendix A.16, ACMAP
The proposal Due Date for ROSES-12 Appendix A.16, Atmospheric Composition: Modeling and Analysis Program has been delayed to October 1, 2012. Notices of Intent are not requested for this program
Step-1 Submission Clarification Document posted for Appendices B.3 and B.4
On the NSPIRES home pages for Appendices B.3, Geospace Science, and B.4, Solar and Heliospheric Science Step-1 Submission Clarification PDF file has been posted for proposers. Step 1 Proposals for B.3, Geospace are due 04/13/2012 and Step-2 (full, 15 page) proposals are due 06/15/2012. Step 1 Proposals for B.4, Solar and Helio are due 03/16/2012 and Step-2 (full, 15 page) proposals are due 05/18/2012.
Calls with rolling due dates (Appendices A.26 and E.2) will close on March 31, 2013.
ROSES-12 Appendix E.2 Topical Workshops, Symposia, and Conferences (TWSC-12) and Appendix A.26 Rapid Response and Novel Research in Earth Science (RRNE-12) and Tables 2 & 3 of ROSES-12 have been updated to close on March 31, 2013.
Appendix C.10, CDAPS, clarification regarding public data period
The 90 public domain requirement for data is connected to the Step-2 (full, 15 page) proposal.
Amendment 1: Due Dates Changed for ROSES-12 Appendix C.18, The Planetary Protection Research Program
For Appendix C.18, The Planetary Protection Research Program, Notices of Intent are now due on June 29, 2012, and Proposals are now due Wednesday September 5, 2012.
Appendix A.41, MEASURES, Budget correction
The budget information in the Summary Table of Key Information in Appendix A.41, Making Earth System data records for Use in Research Environments, has been clarified to specify that these are per year budget estimates.
Two Step-1 proposals permitted for C.10 CDAPS
The limit on the number of Step-1 proposals per P.I. was removed from Section 4.1 of C.10 the Cassini Data Analysis and Participating Scientists Program.
