ROSES 2013 Clarifications, corrections and amendments Amendment 41: Draft ROSES-2014 text for Appendix B.6 H-LWS

Description: Amendment 41 presents DRAFT text for the ROSES-2014 version of Appendix B.6 H-LWS that is being released in advance for community information and comment. The final text for Appendix B.6 released in February with ROSES-2014 may differ from what appears below. We anticipate that Step-1 proposals will be due on March 14, 2014 and Step-2 proposals will be due on May 1, 2014.

The goal of NASA’s Living With a Star (LWS) Program is to develop the scientific understanding needed for the United States to effectively address those aspects of Heliophysics science that may affect life and society. LWS Science solicits proposals for fundamental science that will lead to a physics-based understanding of the integral system linking the Sun to the Solar System, including the impact on the heliosphere, planetary magnetospheres, and ionospheres. The program’s objectives can be achieved by data analysis, theory, and modeling, and the development of tools and methods (e.g., software for data handling).
