Jessica Hausman

Physical Oceanography Support Scientist

Jessica Hausman is the support scientist for the Physical Oceanography (PO) Program Office at NASA Headquarters. Her responsibilities include promoting open science within the PO program. This entails promoting the use of cloud compute, open software and open data. Before coming to NASA HQ, she worked at the Physical Oceanography Distributed Active Archive Center (PO.DAAC) at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL). There she stewarded datasets for altimetric missions, sea level and ocean circulation and participated in those corresponding science teams. She also chaired and co-chaired multiple informatic groups for data and software citations and active with the coastal altimetry community. Just before leaving PO.DAAC Jessica was helping PO.DAAC transition its data and metadata to the cloud.
