Predict, investigate, and discuss the "ingredients" needed to make a cloud. The Cloud in a Jar activity can be done as a parent-led demonstration for younger learners or as a supervised activity for older learners. This activity does require the use of hot water (the water does not need to be boiling). For 4-12 learners, this activity can be extended into an investigation by experimenting with the temperatures of the liquids, the types of liquids used, and the types of "small particles" used in the final step.
