On May 9, 2020, GLOBE Mission Earth’s team from Boston University hosted a virtual profession for science teachers from Providence City Schools, Rhode Island. Elementary, Middle, and High School teachers who are involved with GLOBE student research projects in the 2019-2020 school year met to learn about a virtual student research symposium for Providence students to present their research. Teachers also learned about GLOBE and related resources available to help them transition from face-to-face to virtual instruction.
Elizabeth Joyner, My NASA Data, presented a variety of educational resources to integrate in virtual classrooms related to their plans for the last semester (i.e., mini lessons, story maps, lesson plans, GLOBE connections, etc.).
