ROSES 2013 Clarifications, corrections and amendments Amendment 13: EPO removed from Appendix A.34, New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science

Description: Education and Public Outreach will be removed from Appendix A.34, New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science on Monday May 13. The due dates for Notices of Intent (NOIs) and proposals remain unchanged. NOIs are requested by June 28, 2013, and proposals are due on or before August 30, 2013.

Appendix A.34, the New Investigator Program (NIP) in Earth Science is designed to support outstanding scientific research and career development of scientists and engineers at the early stage of their professional careers.  It supports all aspects of scientific and technological research aimed to advance NASA’s mission in Earth system science. The NIP solicitation requests proposals focused on scientific or technological research.

This amendment removes Education and Public Outreach (EPO) from the New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science as of Monday May 13, 2013. NASA will not accept or evaluate Education Public Outreach Plans as part of proposals submitted to this Appendix. Since there were many references to EPO spread throughout the call, we have replaced the text in its entirety. Please read the text carefully. The page limit, the amount of funding available for this solicitation, and the maximum amount per award have been diminished accordingly. The due dates for Notices of Intent (NOIs) and proposals remain unchanged. NOIs are requested by June 28, 2013, and proposals are due on or before August 30, 2013.

Questions concerning Appendix A.34, New (Early Career) Investigator Program in Earth Science, may be directed to Ming-Ying Wei at mwei@nasa.gov or (202) 358-0771.
