Komarov crater

Komarov crater

A small, fresh crater can be seen on the right side of this image on the floor of Komarov crater. The crater was formed when an impactor smashed into the wall of one of the fractures (or graben) in the crater floor. Some of the ejecta from the impact can be seen draping the wall of the graben. This graben is one of many in the floor of Komarov.
