Space Telescope Primary Mirror Being Inspected (MIX FILE)

Engineers analyze the uncoated primary mirror before Hubble’s launch in 1990. The interior of the mirror is honeycombed, which reduced the weight of the mirror from 8,000 pounds to 1,800 pounds.
