Spotlite: Can Plants Dance?
Can plants dance or move? In this NASA Spotlite, student producers from Hialeah Gardens High School confront the misconception that plants cannot move.
Through observation and investigation, they show how plants respond to light—a behavior called phototropism. Viewers are challenged to place a plant in a darker location away from a light source and carefully observe what happens over time.
Watch the video to discover how plants move in their own way. Try the investigation to see the evidence for yourself.
