The tan landscape is covered with significantly mountainous terrain which shades the side of each peak that is nearer to the bottom of the image. At the very bottom these shadows give way to green coloration from Forestation. Snow peaked Mount Damavand centers the image as part of the Alborz Mountains. A canyon runs veritcally alongside, to the left of Mount Damavand. A Reservoir sits just up and to the right of the mountain. Another reservoir is labeled in the top right in a relatively flat desert valley. The leftmost section of the valley is sparsely interrupted by a green-brown color labeled irrigated agriculture.
