Hubble Operations Transitions to New Mode
Chief Systems Engineer for Flight Larry Dunham (second from left), has a discussion with the team responsible for ensuring that Hubble points accurately and stays steady while collecting science data.
On September 11, 2019, Hubble was transitioned from one mode to another as tests concluded on a new way to use gyroscopes to keep the spacecraft steady. The new mode compensated for a gyroscope that was not behaving normally. Appearing from left to right are Hubble team members Dave Murphy, Larry Dunham, Joe Stock, Mike Wenz, and Mojtaba Abedin.
