From the Distant Past Hubble Laser Display Hayden Planetarium
In November 2011, bright green waves of laser light rippled across the Hayden Planetarium sphere in the American Museum of Natural History’s Rose Center for Earth and Space, illustrating how the Hubble Space Telescope analyzes distant galaxies, quasars, and other celestial objects in the universe. The public art installation, From the Distant Past: Decoding the Light of Hubble, was presented in connection with the opening of the Museum’s special exhibition Beyond Planet Earth: The Future of Space Exploration.
