The meandering Alabama river spans the image in a bright champagne color contrasts from the dark surrounding vegetation. There is a Lock and Dam along the leftmost section of the river. Dannelly Reservoir is just above the dam. The river loops down and at the bottom center of the image Gee's Bend, just below the town of Boykin, shows water extending into nearby fields. As the river bends back up Chilatchee creek is labelled and flooded.
