Swirling clouds obscure most of the image. The Philippines are labelled and the coastal outline is superimposed over the clouds. Vietnam and Da Nang are pictured right, slightly visible beneath a layer of clouds. The cloud coverage gives way in the upper third, showing the green landmass of China and with Hong Kong on the very edge of the densest cloud cover.
