[image-36]"Science with the Hubble Space Telescope IV" is a conference being held at the Accademia dei Lincei in Rome from March 17 - 20, 2014.
This conference is designed to highlight the scientific breakthroughs made by the Hubble Space Telescope in its two decade-long life. There are three specific goals for this meeting, to:
- Share the latest results from Hubble across the broad canvas of astronomy
- Inspire the community of Hubble users to think how Hubble’s successor—the James Webb Space Telescope—will move their scientific field forward
- Look further into the future posing the scientific questions that will shape the field of astrophysics in the next decade.
This conference will be five years after Servicing Mission 4 —the last manned mission to Hubble. It will kick off the 25th anniversary of Hubble’s launch celebrating the tremendous impact this observatory has had on science and society. This conference is sponsored by the European Space Agency (ESA) and NASA, and organized by ESA, the Space Telescope Science Institute and the Institute for Space Astrophysics and Planetology (Italy).
