Watching as the Atlantis approaches orbit, two technicians simultaneously monitor Hubble logistics. From this location, project managers and engineers control the observatory, retrieve data, and maintain an around-the-clock vigil of HST. Over the next two days, STOCC controllers will prepare the telescope for the arrival of Shuttle Atlantis, scheduled early Wednesday afternoon.
