Andrea Riley
Program Executive
Andrea Riley is a Program Executive for planetary science missions including the planetary defense demonstration mission, the Double Asteroid Redirect Test (DART).
Ms. Riley has bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Industrial and Operations Engineering from the University of Michigan. She began working with NASA, at the Kennedy Space Center, in ground operations for the Space Shuttle program in 2003. In 2008, she moved to NASA Headquarters and worked in the Human Exploration and Operations Mission Directorate on commercial spaceflight development programs that included Commercial Orbital Transportation Services (COTS) and Commercial Crew program, and then the International Space Station. In 2019 she joined NASA’s Planetary Sciences Division.
As a Program Executive, Ms. Riley is the primary Headquarters advocate for her missions and is responsible for ensuring that they comply with NASA policies, procedures, and information requirements. ensembles.
