Atmosphere and Enabling Capabilities Program Manager

Dr. John T. Sullivan is an Atmosphere Program Scientist and Deputy Program Manager at NASA Headquarters, where he leads several key observational initiatives. He also currently serves as the Deputy Program Manager for the Multi-Source Integrated Observatory, as well as the Program Scientist for Ground-Based Networks, Cal/Val Facilities, and Crowdsourcing. Dr. Sullivan is passionate about bringing inter-agency scientific teams together to create the high-resolution observations needed to support satellite data retrievals and improve atmospheric forecast models. Additionally, he serves as the Deputy Program Scientist for the upcoming STRIVE Mission.

Before joining NASA HQ, John built his expertise in the Atmospheric Chemistry and Dynamics Laboratory at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center. A recognized expert in remote sensing and lidar technologies, he previously led the NASA Tropospheric Ozone Lidar Network (TOLNet) and directed several major sub-orbital field campaigns, getting hands-on with missions like OWLETS, STAQS/AGES+, DISCOVER-AQ, KORUS-AQ, and TRACER-AQ.
