
Jessica Fisher
Instrument Operator/Mission Operations Systems Engineer
Jessica Fisher is an Instrument Operator/Mission Operations Systems Engineer supporting CAL on the Flight Operations team. She operates CAL onboard the ISS in near real-time to collect quantum physics experiment data for the CAL scientists. She also supports CAL operations interfaces with the ISS, working directly with the astronauts when necessary to repair and replace vital CAL hardware.
In addition to her work on CAL, Jessica works as an Instrument Operations Systems Engineer for the Multi-Angle Imager for Aerosols (MAIA) and Jason-3 missions. She received her B.S.E. in Space Science and Engineering as well as her M.Eng. in Space Engineering from the University of Michigan.

- JPL Team Award: Successful first demonstration of the complete operations of the MAIA instrument, utilizing the entire set of planning and uplink tools, operations procedures, actual instrument operation, downlink activity of housekeeping and science data, and science data transmission and processing through the MAIA science data system
