Climate Science in the Era of COVID-19 – Geneviève de Messières (ETS Lead), and Lesley Ott (GSFC GMAO)
154 participants learned about changes in air pollution, prescribed fire, and the nuances of carbon dioxide signals. Lively participant discussion focused on weaving these science results into place-based education.
You Too Can Create a Virtual Field Trip – Anita Davis (ETS co-Lead) and Russanne Low (IGES)
270 participants interacted in this session featuring ETS community members demonstrating their use of the Flyover Country app to develop free virtual tours of their sites.
Earth to Sky Virtual Booth
167 attendees discovered many NASA resources selected for informal educators, refreshed with new content daily. 8 hours of live sessions were coordinated and hosted by ETS, featuring presentations and demos by GSFC outreach specialists Kristen Weaver, Heather Mortimer, Brian Campbell, Dorian Janney, and Valerie Casasanto; cryospheric scientist Chris Shuman; and Rusty Low (IGES). Several participants returned multiple times, citing appreciation for the wealth of NASA resources:
