Educators from the National Institute of Aerospace’s Center for Integrative STEM Education (NIA-CISE) hosted a virtual focus group discussion with the NASA eClips Advisory Board to solicit feedback on how best to organize Spotlite resources on the NASA eClips website. NASA Spotlite Resources include short (90-120 second) student-produced videos designed to address science misconceptions and serve as classroom-ready lessons, written using the 5E instructional model and produced using interactive technologies. The lessons help foster student conceptual change and a deeper understanding of scientific vocabulary. Fourteen Advisory Board members joined the virtual focus group discussions to provide recommendations on how to organize the resources for ease of use by educators and to improve the visual appeal of the webpage. In response to the feedback, the NASA eClips team will be creating a mockup of the higher priority recommended changes to present to the Advisory Board.
