Amendment 18: Revised text and a new due date for Suzaku Guest Observer – Cycle 5
Amendment 18 presents a new due date for Suzaku GO, the relative observing time allocations were changed, and two new proposal classes (Long Programs and Key Projects) are introduced.
Amendment 17: New due date, start date and clarification for C.7, Outer Planets Research
Amendment 17 presents a new due date and planning date for start of investigation for C.7, OPR. Also, the text has been clarified regarding proposals for refinement of mission datasets or create data products.
Amendment 16: Due Date delayed for Appendix A.33, New Investigator Program (NIP), because of fires in California
Amendment 16 presents a new due date for Appendix A.33, New Investigator Program (NIP), because of fires in California. The proposal due date has been changed to Thursday September 3, 2009
Amendment 15: New version of Appendix A.23, Airborne Instrument Technology Transition Program
Amendment 15 presents revised text for A.23, the Airborne Instrument Technology Transition Program. Major changes include: clarification of reporting requirements, an opportunity to submit a notice of intent has been added, and the proposal due date has been changed.
Amendment 14: New proposal opportunity in Appendix A.40: Earth Science for Decision Making: Gulf of Mexico Region
This amendment establishes a new program element in Appendix A.40 entitled Earth Science for Decision Making: Gulf of Mexico Region.
Amendment 13: New version of Appendix D.9, Kepler Guest Observer – Cycle 2
This amendment presents new due dates and revised text for D.9, Kepler Guest Observer – Cycle 2.
Amendment 12: Appendix A.2, Land-Cover/Land-Use Change will be solicited in ROSES 2009
This amendment announces that Appendix A.2, Land-Cover/Land-Use Change will be solicited in ROSES 2009 and presents the text for this program element, which replaces the prior version in its entirety.
C.16 Correction
C.16, Planetary Instrument Definition and Development, point of contact has changed from Jonathan Rall to Lisa May.
Amendment 11: Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology Programs. Final text for Appendix B.6 and no Appendix B.7 this year.
This amendment presents the final text for Appendix B.6, Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology, which replaces the prior version in its entirety. This amendment also announces that Appendix B.7, Living With a Star Targeted Research and Technology: Strategic Capability, will not be solicited in ROSES 2009. Given that six Strategic Capabilities projects are now on-going in the LWS TR&T Program and based on input from the LWS TR&T steering committee, it was decided that the LWS TR&T Strategic Capability proposals should not be solicited this year. Proposals may be solicited next year in ROSES 2010.
Amendment 10: SPICA Science Investigation Concept Studies
Amendment 10 establishes a new program element in Appendix D.12 entitled “SPICA Science Investigation Concept Studies.” This call solicits proposals for science investigation concept studies that could be realized with the JAXA/ISAS Space Infrared Telescope for Cosmology and Astrophysics (SPICA) mission http://www.ir.isas.jaxa.jp/SPICA/h2l2_spie/h2l2.html
