Dragon Lake, Siberia

 

Nicknamed “Dragon Lake,” this body of water is formed by the Bratskove Reservoir,built along the Angara river in southern Siberia, near the city of Bratsk. This image wasacquired in winter, when the lake is frozen.

This image was acquired byLandsat 7’s Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus(ETM+) sensor on December 19, 1999. This is a natural color composite image made using blue, green, and red wavelengths.
