The Mission:Biome pages explore the biomes as color coded in the in this image. Dark green corresponds to rainforest, light green to shrublands, yellow to grasslands, pale orange to desert, pink to temperate deciduous forest, blue-green to coniferous forest, and deep blue to Tundra.
Have you ever wondered what it would be like to live in a different part of the world? What would the weather be like? What kinds of animals would you see? Which plants live there? By investigating these questions, you are learning about biomes. A biome is a community of plants and animals living together in a certain kind of climate. Scientists have classified regions of the world into different biomes.
Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to investigate biomes, then test your knowledge about the biomes by completing each mission.
