Messier 62: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image
Messier 62 (M62) is a globular star cluster located some 22,200 light-years away in the constellation Ophiuchus. M62 has an extremely dense core of 150,000 stars. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
