Messier 3: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image
Messier 3 (M3) is a globular star cluster that holds more than 500,000 stars. It is located some 34,000 light-years away in the constellation Canes Venatici. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
