Messier 57: Amateur Image vs. Hubble Image
Messier 57 (M57), better known as the Ring Nebula, is the glowing remains of a sun-like star located some 2,000 light-years away in the constellation Lyra. The left image was taken with an 8-inch Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope using a 0.63x focal reducer and a DSLR Camera. The right image was taken by NASA’s Hubble Space Telescope.
