Hubble Operations – Testing New Procedures
Hubble engineers James Manns (front), Colleen Townsley (center), and Stan Kroll (back) monitor a test of new procedures for the spacecraft on April 16, 2019. Among the new procedures is an automated routine that can detect whether the observatory is going to lose its lock on its target before it happens, thus allowing earlier recovery and more science to be gathered.
