Two engineers talk about the stability of the pointing system while looking at and pointing to data on a monitor.

Hubble Operations Transitions to New Mode

Chief System Engineer for Flight Larry Dunham (left) and Mojtaba Abedin, pointing control systems engineer (right), look at data returned from the spacecraft to confirm that the Hubble Space Telescope has switched modes as commanded and is operating as expected during a carefully planned and executed transition on September 11, 2019. The telescope had just been converted to a new way of using its gyroscopes to keep the spacecraft steady to compensate for a gyroscope that was not behaving normally.
