Hubble Captures Caldwell 5

Searching for visible-light counterparts to X-ray sources detected by NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory, astronomers used Hubble’s Advanced Camera for Surveys in 2005 to capture this close-up image of stars and nebulae in one arm of spiral galaxy Caldwell 5 (IC 342).
