My NASA Data Project Presents to NASA GISS's Climate Change Research Initiative Education Ambassadors

GLOBE Mission Earth’s, Elizabeth Joyner (My NASA Data), presented to 22 Education Ambassadors with NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies (GISS) Climate Change Research Initiative (CCRI) on November 16, 2021. CCRI is a year-long STEM engagement opportunity for educators and graduate students to work directly with NASA scientists and lead research teams in a NASA research project hosted at either the NASA Goddard Institute for Space Studies in New York City, NY, NASA Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD, or NASA Langley Research Center in Hampton, VA. During this session, Joyner showcased My NASA Data's education and data visualization assets related to carbon sequestration, a key topic in a following presentation by Dr. Dorothy Peteet. Dr. Peteet, NASA GISS, presented her research on evidence of climate change in the Hudson Estuary and opportunities for students and teachers to explore evidence in the classroom.

MND supports NASA GISS's Climate Change Research Initiative Education Ambassadors with access to NASA data through the Earth System Data Explorer.
