The PolCube Mission
Launch Date: November 3, 2025
PolCube is a compact 12-unit (12U) CubeSat and multi-angle, multi-wavelength polarimeter instrument developed through an international collaboration — primarily involving NASA’s Langley Research Center and the Korea Astronomy and Space Science Institute (KASI). It measures both the intensity and polarization of sunlight reflected off Earth across multiple angles and light wavelengths (410–864 nm) to characterize atmospheric particles and ocean properties.

Polarimeters like PolCube measure light not only at multiple wavelengths, but also measure both the intensity and polarization at multiple angles
