Contact a Local Astronomical Society or Club
Astronomy clubs can provide or help you find virtual or in-person speakers to present at your International Observe the Moon Night event, as well as recruit amateur astronomers (hopefully with their telescopes!).
Borrow a Telescope
The Library Telescope Program helps to place and maintain high quality, easy-to-use telescopes in public libraries. The program is currently offered at participating libraries in the United States, Canada, and Europe.
Local Colleges and Universities
Local colleges and universities, particularly those with astronomy or planetary geology programs, may have individuals (professors and/or students) who could talk to your audience about the Moon, or help with your event in other ways.
Museum & Informal Education Alliance
The Museum & Informal Education (MIE) Alliance is a network of informal education organizations including museums, planetariums, libraries, and more, who offer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) education services and programming.
NASA Engages
NASA Engages is a public outreach program connecting NASA experts with a wide range of audiences through educational, professional, and community events. You may request a speaker through this free service if you would like a NASA professional to talk with your International Observe the Moon Night audience.
NASA Solar System Ambassadors
NASA Solar System Ambassadors are space enthusiasts who volunteer to organize or attend community events where they talk about recent discoveries, upcoming milestones in space science, and future NASA missions. (Check a database of local Solar System Ambassadors in your area.)
