Multimedia and Mission Support Specialist

Patricia Talbert is a member of NASA’s planetary defense team, providing support by determining the best way to visually depict activities of the Planetary Defense Coordination Office and the community of researchers that it supports, through the PDCO’s web site as well as multimedia promotions and public outreach. Ms. Talbert is a multimedia and mission support specialist for the Planetary Science Division in the Science Mission Directorate and is responsible for providing graphic design, web support and mission support to other programs in the division.

Ms. Talbert has worked at NASA Headquarters since 1986 and loves engaging with a wide variety of science and technology subjects through her work. Through the NASA community and external partnerships, she has forged many wonderful professional relationships.

Ms. Talbert received the Exceptional Public Achievement Medal for outstanding contributions to the NASA Planetary Science Division and going the extra mile to facilitate team achievement. She also has a main-belt asteroid named after her: 23004 Triciatalbert (1999 VH114) in honor of her providing multimedia, outreach and website support that have greatly aided the PDCO’s visual communication of NASA’s multi-faceted planetary defense program to diverse audiences around the world.
