Amendment 22: Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon (PRISM) DRAFT text released for community comment.
ROSES-2021 Amendment 22 releases for community comment draft text for Payloads and Research Investigations on the Surface of the Moon (PRISM) to be released as program element F.10 of ROSES-2021.
It is intended that F.10 PRISM would solicit the development and flight of science-driven suites of instruments and technology demonstration payloads that address science goals related to the Moon of any SMD division. They may, in addition, also address: 1) Strategic Knowledge Gaps of HEOMD and/or 2) any technology demonstration goals of STMD that advance capabilities for science, exploration, or commercial development of the Moon.
NASA expects to select suites for two CLPS deliveries expected to be a south polar location in Q4 2024, and the Gruithuisen Domes, a nearside silicic volcanic construct, in Q2 2025. Mobility capabilities are expected to be available for Gruithuisen Domes. For more information read the draft text posted on the NSPIRES page for ROSES-2021 F.10 PRISM.
The planned schedule for the solicitation of F.10 PRISM is:
Release of Final Text.............................. August 2021 (target)
Pre-proposal Conference................... ~14 days after final ROSES release
Proposals due............................................ ~90 days after ROSES release
Selection....................................................... 3-4 months post proposal due date
Questions and comments concerning the draft of F.10 PRISM should be addressed to Ryan Watkins and Brad Bailey via HQ-PRISM@mail.nasa.gov by June 21, 2021.
On or about May 20, 2021, this Amendment to the NASA Research Announcement "Research Opportunities in Space and Earth Sciences (ROSES) 2021" (NNH21ZDA001N) will be posted on the NASA research opportunity homepage at http://solicitation.nasaprs.com/ROSES2021.
