Islands in the Darkness

This image from NASA’s Dawn spacecraft shows a part of Vesta’s northern hemisphere, which is mostly in darkness. Since Dawn’s arrival at asteroid Vesta the sun has not illuminated Vesta’s most northerly latitudes.
