Sol 0780: Mast-Mounted Navigation Camera, Cylindrical Perspective

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity took 12 image pairs in Gale Crater using its mast-mounted Navigation Camera (Navcam) to create this mosaic. The seam-corrected mosaic provides a 360-degree cylindrical perspective projection panorama of the Martian surface suitable for stereo viewing, centered at 75 degrees azimuth (measured clockwise from north). This anaglyph must be viewed with red/blue glasses (red over left eye).  Curiosity took the images on October 17, 2014, Sol 780 of the Mars Science Laboratory mission at drive 216, site number 43. The local mean solar time for the image exposures was from 2 PM to 3 PM. Each Navcam image has a 45-degree field of view. CREDIT: NASA/JPL-Caltech
