Sol 1179: Left Navigation Camera, Cylindrical Projection

NASA's Mars rover Curiosity took 12 images in Gale Crater using its mast-mounted Left Navigation Camera (Navcam) to create this mosaic. The seam-corrected mosaic provides a 275-degree cylindrical projection panorama of the Martian surface centered at 229 degrees azimuth (measured clockwise from north). Curiosity took the images on December 01, 2015, Sol 1179 of the Mars Science Laboratory mission at drive 1126, site number 51. The local mean solar time for the image exposures was 2 PM.
