Amendment 66: New Opportunity in A.5, Carbon Monitoring System

On or about February 22, 2019 ROSES-18 Amendment 66 will present a new opportunity: Carbon Monitoring System in this program element, A.5, which had previously been listed as "not solicited this year".

A.5 Carbon Monitoring System solicits investigations that will advance products toward the CMS end goal: development of a prototype carbon monitoring system from an Earth’s system perspective. Geographic areas of interest include terrestrial, atmospheric, and aquatic realms. Proposal emphasis must be directed toward continued development of the established CMS pilot studies (see https://carbon.nasa.gov), synergistic advancements from past CMS activities, as well as acquisition, quantification, and development of prototype CMS system capabilities that can improve existing and new data products toward achieving the levels of precision and accuracy required by current carbon trading activities (e.g., certification of emissions reductions). Successful applicants will also become NASA CMS Science Team (ST) members.

For program element A.5 Carbon Monitoring System, Notices of Intent are requested by March 21, 2019 and proposals are due May 23, 2019.
