The Science Mission Directorate (SMD) provides a specialized computational infrastructure to support its research community, managed on its behalf by NASA’s High-End Computing (HEC) program (see https://www.hec.nasa.gov/). Two major computing facilities are offered: the NASA Center for Climate Simulation at the Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC), and the NASA Advanced Supercomputing facility at the Ames Research Center. When submitting a proposal to ROSES, for example, one may request time on these HEC resources.
The HEC program is no longer using the old ebooks system for the submission of requests for resources. Requests for High-End Computing resources are now to be submitted using the Request Management System at https://request.hec.nasa.gov. Section I(d) of the ROSES Summary of Solicitation has been updated to reflect this.
