Near-Earth Asteroids as of April 2025

Among them, 873 are larger than 1 kilometer, with an estimated 50 still to be found. 11,229 are larger than 140 meters, with an estimated 14,000 remaining undiscovered. Earth is bombarded daily by about 100 tons of dust and sand-sized particles. In the past 30 days, 16 known near-Earth asteroids passed closer to Earth than the Moon. In the past 365 days, 163 such asteroids were recorded. A total of 485,100,000 observations have been submitted to the Minor Planet Center.
