STScI will host a science conference, celebrating the first full year of science with JWST. The conference will feature a broad science program, with invited overview presentations summarizing results from the major areas of research with JWST, from early galaxies, to exoplanets, and the solar system. Submissions for contributed talks and posters are welcome from any topic advanced by JWST observations. A small number of late abstracts will be accepted to encourage the discussion of late-breaking results based on recently acquired data. The meeting format will include time for informal discussions and is intended to encourage interdisciplinary interactions within the JWST Observer community.

The conference will be held September 11–14, 2023 at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel in Towson, Maryland, USA.

Lodging will be available at the Sheraton Baltimore North Hotel. Please call the hotel directly to book your hotel reservation.

An illustration of Sun-like star HD 181327 and its surrounding debris disk. The star is at top right. It is surrounded by a far larger debris disk that forms an incomplete ellpitical path and is cut off at right. There’s a huge cavity between the star and the disk. The debris disk is shown in shades of light gray. Toward the top and left, there are finer, more discrete points in a range of sizes. The disk appears hazier and smokier at the bottom. The star is bright white at center, with a hazy blue region around it. The background of space is black. The label Artist's Concept appears at lower left.
