Senator Barbara Mikulski Tours Space Telescope Operations Control Center

Following the successful Servicing Mission 4, Senator Barbara Mikulski speaks with the Hubble operations team while touring the Space Telescope Operations Control Center at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Maryland. Bill Nilsson (left foreground) and Carlton Miller (right foreground) were part of the Orbit Team of flight engineers that oversaw deployment of the Hubble Space Telescope from Shuttle Atlantis on Tuesday, May 19, 2009. Mikulski was the longest-serving female senator in the history of the U.S. Congress and an influential leader in space policy.
