A cloud of dust from the northern Libya and eastern Tunisia hovers over the Mediterranean in this true-color Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) image. The image was taken by NASA’s Aqua satellite on October 4, 2003.

The high resolution image provided above is at MODIS’ maximum spatial resolution of 250 meters per pixel.
