Dust Storm over Eastern China
April 7, 2006

Dust and clouds mingled in the skies over northeastern China on April 7, 2006. The Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) flying onboard the Terra satellite took this picture the same day. In this image, tan dust and white clouds mingle towards the northeast. The grayish material in the southwest portion of this image is likely smog, which stretches out over the nearby ocean water.
